Adopt A Healthy, Life Lengthening Diet – Simple But Not Easy

Your Mother Was Right

Vegetables are the foundation of a great diet. A recent, 15-month study of 2000 subjects found that those with the highest vegetable and fruit intake had a 70% reduced risk of heart attack and other cardiac problems. (This was reported in Health Sciences Institute’s e-alert, which sends out free emails.)

Raw is preferable, of course. Bear in mind that we were not evolved to eat cooked food, and that our primitive forbears lived on a diet of raw food for millions of years. If you are not prepared to eat all raw, at least be sure to eat a salad before eating cooked food. This will get your enzymes perking so that they can cope better with the cooked food that follows.

There are many different salad combinations. A wide variety should be eaten – dark green lettuces (not head lettuce), cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, beet root (beets), capsicums of all colours (peppers to Americans), red onions and any other vegetables that take your fancy. Chop, shred or dice them in various combinations. Rocket, coriander (cilantro), parsley and any number of green herbs in pots make great additions, and provide calcium your body can assimilate, other valuable minerals and great flavour.

Every day have a large salad with most of these vegetables and herbs. Because they give an appealing texture, add a cut-up avocado and a small amount of virgin olive oil as well as a squeeze of lemon. Then, and this really makes it yummy and crunchy, sprinkle two tablespoons of seeds over the salad. The result is so filling that it will keep you going all day. (Instructions for preparing the seeds are below.) Please do the best you can to use organic vegetables for their life-saving minerals and vitamins. If a seasoning is desired use A. Vogel’s Trocomare and Herbamare.

Another great way to get lots of raw veggies down is by drinking a glass of freshly squeezed carrot, celery, beet root, parsley, cucumber, etc., as well as any greens that are available. Organically raised raw egg is delicious, blended with the juice. Add Maca, minerals and RoseHip granules, and blend it all for a nourishing, filling meal.

Most people are not prepared to go the all-raw route. For those, it’s a good idea to eat a wide variety of steamed vegetables, with particular emphasis on zucchini, celery and string beans, the three liver-cleansing vegetables. Combined in a soup and blended they make a great detoxifier known as Bieler Broth after Dr Bieler. Potatoes, steamed or baked, and seasoned with herbs and butter, chives, shallots, or chopped red onions (raw or cooked), are a delicious and filling addition to a vegetable meal. For those few who are allergic to the nightshade vegetables (potatoes, capsicum, tomatoes and eggplant) special care is needed. And, don’t forget Dr. Bieler’s soup if you or a family member are feeling toxic.

Nature’s Treat

Fresh, raw fruit can be prepared in so many ways: you are only limited by your imagination. Fruit salads are lovely, especially if bananas are included for thickness. Sauces can be made of fruit to drizzle over the salad, by blending several fruits with avocado and/or frozen bananas. The addition of dried fruit, especially dates, creates a rich sauce. Sprinkle a few nuts on fruit salads, even though they are not an ideal combination the nutritional value is there.

Fruit smoothies are great on warm days and are a lovely treat for children. Use fruit juice or make almond milk (directions below) and put in the blender with frozen banana and any other frozen or fresh fruit you like. Just remember – when freezing fruit, it should be very ripe, and hard skins must be removed first. Cut frozen fruit in chunks before blending. For variety you might like to add a raw egg before blending, but be sure of the purity of the eggs you buy. Frozen mango and banana, blended ’til smooth, makes a delicious ice cream, and it won’t shorten your life!

Try drying your own fruit. Each season get cases of ripe mango, banana and pineapple, taking care that they are extremely sweet. A dehydrator makes this easy, but they can also be dried on cookie sheets in an ordinary oven, turned to ON, but no higher, in order to preserve the enzymes. The great advantage of this is that the sulfur and possibly dirty conditions used during commercial drying are eliminated. Dehydrators must be set at 40 degrees Celsius or below, or 100 degrees Fahrenheit or below, so enzymes are not killed. If you use an oven, take care that the fruit does not go mouldy.

Dehydrators can be used to make delightful treats. As just one example, soaked, ground almonds can be blended with soaked (and drained) dates and orange juice to form a paste that can then be spread on a dehydrator tray, using a blank. In order to keep it from sticking, a tiny amount of coconut oil should be spread on the blank first. Dry until it reaches the desired consistency – crunchy or soft. Let your imagination create other treats, or refer to the many available recipe books for dehydrating food.

Don’t Neglect Your Protein

If you are a vegetarian you will need to learn to prepare nuts so that the anti-enzyme factor is eliminated. When selecting nuts, make sure they are not rancid, and use as wide a variety as possible. Do not, however, use cashews or peanuts, as they are not healthful. Put all the nuts in a large container and add more than enough water to cover, so that when they swell they will still be covered. Put enough good quality sea salt in the water to make it taste noticeably salty. Soak them overnight, or longer. Drain in a colander, then put in a dehydrator until they are dry and crunchy. Keep the temperature low to preserve enzymes – it will take about two days before they are ready, depending upon the room temperature and humidity. If you do not have a dehydrator, nuts can be dried on cookie sheets in an oven at the ON setting, no higher, and will need to be stirred occasionally.

Almonds should be handled separately. Soak them over night and next day drop them in extremely warm water to loosen the skin, which can then be easily removed. The skin has oxalic acid in it, which is to be avoided. They can then be added to the dryer, along with the other nuts. If you wish to make almond milk, simply blend with juice or water ’til smooth. Almonds contain easily assimilated calcium, and should be used frequently.

When drying seeds you may prefer to keep them separate from nuts, as they are tiny and tend to get “lost”. The salad addition mentioned earlier is comprised of pepitas (pumpkin seeds), sunflower seeds and pine nuts. Dry them using the nut drying technique, draining through a sieve instead of a colander, and sprinkle them over vegetable salads or cooked vegetables, or use them in other creative ways of your own.

Before our oceans became so polluted, fish were an excellent form of protein and healthful oils. No more – they are now contaminated with mercury. Farmed fish are the worst of the lot so don’t trust them. Because they are tiny, sardines are thought to be free of mercury, and if you use only those packed in water they can be a tasty addition to salads and other dishes, as well as a safe way to get calcium, protein and the good oils sardines contain.

If you eat red meat, roast, grille or saut it lightly. Absolutely never barbecue meat, or anything else: charred foods are the most cancer-causing thing you can eat. And, please, never eat meat that has been injected and fed grains. Grass fed is the only safe meat. The same rules apply to chickens. If you don’t like to roast or grill, chicken pieces cooked slowly in coconut oil are delicious. Do not be phobic about the skin, which should be kept on. Eat meat sparingly, as a condiment, rather than the main course. Eggs are a fine protein, especially when eaten raw, but they must be from free-range birds and they must be fresh.

It is impossible to be healthy if you eat the wrong fats and oils. If you fancy stir-fry, use coconut oil. It is healthful and delicious. But remember, it’s essential to take good quality food enzymes when eating cooked food.

Once you have established the above rules, and have stuck to them for a while, you will see that eating healthfully is easier than it seems. The secret is to Keep It Simple. You will discover such improvements in well being that your efforts will be rewarded. The trick here is to forget about fancy recipes and stick to the principles of safe food preparation. You will be infinitely stronger and healthier and you will live decades longer. Remember – some of us are stuck down quickly due to bad food choices, while some are able to defy the odds for years because they were born tough. But no one, not even you, can get away with ignoring the laws of nature, long-term.

Acne Scar Cure – Which Hot Celebrities Found Their Cure?

Dealing with acne and the related scarring can be damaging to a person’s confidence and imagine the scrutiny that Hollywood actors are under. Some well known Hollywood actors suffer or suffered from the very thing you are going through. I am here to tell you there is hope and I do not want you to give up on your search for solutions. This article focuses on which hot celebrities found their acne scar cure. Furthermore, at the end of the article I will provide a link to more information.

So lets take a look at the list of hot celebrities who has or is currently dealing with scarring caused by severe acne. This topic is extremely emotional for many people so I wanted to lighten the mood a little bit. So what do say interested to see who is on the list?

Drum role please…

First up is one of the funniest actors of all time. I mean who can forget his role in Groundhog Day as Phil Conners the channel 9 weather man. That’s right everybody Bill Murray. Bill has long suffered with facial scarring and I would say he is doing very well for himself.

Next up is one of the smartest actors on both the big screen and cameos on the family guy. Peter’s nemesis Mr. James Woods. James Woods has dramatic acne scars which reinforce the rugged personalities of his characters.

Now just to prove to everyone reading that this list is not just men my next celebrity is one of the sexiest women in the world and is famous for her role in Austin Powers and the former Mrs. Hugh Grant. Oh did I mention she models quite often. Elizabeth Hurley while in glamour photos looks perfect because makeup and lighting are used to convey a clear complexion but candid photos do reveal acne scars on Hurley’s
cheeks.

The next two actors are very successful in their own right appearing in a wide range of films such as The Matrix, Boyz in the hood and Casino. Lawrence Fishburne and Ray Liotta each have facial scars caused by acne and both of these actors have had a great deal of success.

One last celebrity who has dealt with acne scarring is a singer and country music star judge Jewel. Another very beautiful and talented person who at some point has dealt with acne scarring.

The one common factor in all these examples is that these celebrities all found their acne scar cure by either taking action to clear it up for finding inner peace and adapting.

Movie Review: "22 Jump Street"

The movie "22 Jump Street" is the highly anticipated sequel to "21 Jump Street." The second installment sees the return of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as Morton Schmidt and Greg Jenko, two undercover cops. After completing an assignment for which both partners posed as high school students, they are assigned to a mission that involves going undercover as college students. This time, the partners get more than they bargained for and stumble across a dangerous criminal.

After a successful take down of a drug dealer in "21 Jump Street," Morton Schmidt and Greg Jenko are back on the streets fighting crime. However, since their last mission was a success, it does not take long before they get another undercover assignment. This time, both men are headed to college to pose as students. Schmidt and Jenko are told to track down the drug supplier responsible for spreading a new and deadly drug, WHYPHY, around the college campus.

Jenko quickly makes friends on campus with two jocks who are prime suspects. Not fitting in with that group, Schmidt focuses on an artist named Maya who turns out to be the daughter of Captain Dickinson, the man who put Schmidt and Jenko on their current assignment. When Maya learns Schmidt is a cop, she quits speaking to him, leaving him alone and frustrated that Jenko is all but ignoring him.

Although Schmidt and Jenko are separated, the partners ultimately arrest an unlikely drug supplier on campus and close the case. Jenko makes the surprising decision to stay in college and quit his job. Schmidt returns to work, but he continues to research the spread of the drug WHYPHY. Schmidt eventually learns the drug is still being circulated to students, meaning they did not arrest the drug supplier, just a drug dealer.

After Schmidt learns the identity of the supplier, he teams up with Jenko to take him down. The partners find themselves in Puerto Rico during spring break, where the supplier intends to spread the drug to more college students.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum once again team up to create unforgettable characters. The chemistry between the two actors is just as great the second time around, despite the fact that the characters spend a significant amount of time apart from each other in the film. Since there are some personal struggles that the characters face, Hill and Tatum both have to delve into the dramatic side of acting for their roles more so than in the first film. Hill and Tatum do an equally great job at the more serious aspects of their roles. In addition, the comedic timing of both actors is just as good as what fans have come to expect.

In "21 Jump Street," both characters struggled through personal challenges. Schmidt has to get over his fear of shooting a suspect, and Jenko is forced to face his fear of reading suspects the Miranda rights. In the sequel, the focus is more on the partnership and how the men both evolve as cops. The fact that Schmidt and Jenko spend so much time apart makes the sequel unique from the first film. In this way, the sequel is not a reproduction of the successful first installment but a continuation of the story of Schmidt and Jenko.

While the main characters do not spend much time with one another, a variety of supporting characters fill in to keep things interesting. While Schmidt spends his time with Maya, Jenko becomes close with Zook and Rooster, brothers in the fraternity he joins. The new friendships cause conflicts and also some entertaining situations. Despite the more dramatic moments when the partnership is tested, there is no shortage of funny moments. The duo go on several short missions that have hilarious results.

Aside from the dramatic and comedic elements, the plot is very well constructed. The initial suspect turns out not to be the person responsible for the distribution of drugs, and the person who gets arrested for dealing drugs on campus is a person neither character suspects. The fact that the drug supplier continues to distribute drugs sets up the opening for the partners re-teaming to find the real criminal. In Puerto Rico, there is a final plot twist where an unsuspecting character double-crosses Schmidt and Jenko. The constant surprises, revelations and plot twists make the film far from predictable.

The ending of the film leaves an opening for another sequel – this time an undercover assignment in medical school – which is no doubt great news for fans of the film franchise. There are also a few moments during the closing credits that show what the characters have been up to since their time as college students.

The film "22 Jump Street" is one of the best sequels to be made in recent years. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum prove once again that they have great on-screen chemistry and have the skills to create a comedy. Since the acting is great and the story is compelling, "22 Jump Street" is just as good – if not better – than the original.

Tips For Women – The 9 Most Important Things Every Woman Must Know & Do

I have written hundreds of articles and blog entries, and in my opinion, each one contains extremely important information and helpful tips. However, comparatively, the advice contained within this article is far more important than any other topic I have ever written about! If women understood, believed, and implemented these principles, our very society would change forever; for the influence of a woman touches, impacts, and changes each of our lives. That is how strongly I feel about these 9 important tips below. From little girls to teenagers, young women to grandma&39;s, daughters and sisters, married or single women, and especially mother&39;s everywhere – my hope is that you will not only recognize the significance of these principles, but understand the impact you can have on men and people everywhere if and when you implement them.

1) Don&39;t Become Like Men : Every woman was born with innate qualities and natural abilities that men simply don&39;t have. Be proud of and nurture these attributes, intuitions, talents, personalities, and desires. Be a woman, and realize you naturally are tender, gentle, nurturing, patient, thoughtful, unselfish, approachable, and loving. Unfortunately, all too often our culture convinces women that somehow being gentle, kind, or motherly is somehow inferior or not viewed as successful. Wrong! Women can still compete, lead, and be successful in the work place and anywhere without foregoing their womanly attributes. More importantly, never forget the positive influence a &39;woman&39;s touch&39; can have on children, men, and society.

2) Are You Pornography : Generally speaking, men struggle much more with this modern slavery and addiction we call pornography. And yet, we continue to try and find solutions to the problem, without addressing the problem. Yes some solutions are good, such as: teaching men to control their thoughts and become more self-disciplined; attacking the porn industry; passing legislation; having pop-up blockers or &39;talks&39; with our sons; etc. However, perhaps the solution to the problem is actually teaching our daughters and women everywhere not to dress, act like, and become pornography themselves. Unfortunately, the reality is that pornography, immodesty, and infidelity will continue to dominate our culture and media – because it makes money. But that is no excuse for any woman to justify immodesty, virtue, and purity simply because the masses are doing it or because it pays well.

3) True Beauty : True beauty is not found in the reflection of a mirror, it comes to those who seek to be honest, happy, and pure. And yet our culture engrains into the minds of women everywhere that to be beautiful, one must load their face with makeup, benefit from plastic surgery, and be as immodest and immoral. The word &39;hot&39; has unfortunately replaced the word &39;beautiful&39; – and not only do they have completely different definitions, one connotes selfish lustfulness, while the other radiates goodness, purity, unselfishness, and true happiness. With that said, please don&39;t get me wrong – I feel it is extremely important for every woman to seek to be &39;beautiful.&39; They need to do their hair, put makeup on, wear nice clothes, and seek to be attractive; but, ensure in so doing that they are becoming truly &39;beautiful&39; – and not just &39;hot.&39;

4) Is the TV a Babysitter and Influencer : To you mothers – how much time do your children spend in front of the TV? To women everywhere – how much time do you spend in front of the TV? An honest answer to these important questions will reveal much about ours and our children&39;s character, and who it is being shaped by. Children need mothers, love, and attention – not electronics! Thus, turn off the TV a little more and make time for your children. Lastly, to women everywhere – perhaps one of the greatest solutions to overcoming the self-esteem issues, eating disorders, gossiping habits, comparing and worrying, and unhealthy images of worth and beauty that every woman struggles and deals with would be solved if they turned off the TV and put down the magazines a little more often.

5) Be Yourself … Don&39;t Be Plastic : Be proud of, content with, and confident in who you are. Women everywhere need to stop picking up the magazines, looking at the advertisements, and watching the TV shows and movies and comparing themselves to these models and actors. Usually, the majority of these models, actors, and women in the magazines and on TV are all fake and plastic anyway. They load their faces with make-up, have countless plastic surgery&39;s or excess weight removed, stand under perfect lighting, and then the company air brushes the photo / picture anyway to make them look even more beautiful (fake and unnatural). I know it is easier said than done, but happy is the woman who can be proud of and confident in who they are, and not compare themselves to other women – whether it is the woman on the magazine cover or the neighbor down the street.

6) Put Family First & Develop Character : Success in life should not be determined by the amount of education we obtain, the cars we drive, the achievements in our career, the awards won, the house we own, the friends or connections we have , or the clothes we wear. True success should be measured by the attributes we develop, the person we become, and the people we help. Thus, no matter what a woman accomplishes or obtains, it means nothing if she fails in her own person life, in her home, or with her family.

7) Be Educated & Contribute to the World : With everything that has been said, let me be clear about one thing – in all of this important advice to women, in no way am I suggesting that women should be bare foot, changing diapers, cooking meals, doing laundry, confined to the house, and thus ignorant to the world. Quite the contrary! Although family and children should most certainly be the priority, women should and must also be involved, educated, leaders, and contributors to society. Whether a stay at home mother, a teenage daughter, an elderly woman, or a woman in the work force – women have value, brains, skills, ideas, and talents that must be shared to benefit communities, businesses, minds, nations, families and mankind.

8) Demand That Men Treat You Respectfully : Regardless of what our culture and the media portray, and despite the fact that men generally have stopped treating women like women, this does not negate the fact that you are a woman who deserves respect. While men must do better about treating women with respect in their thoughts, words, and actions – women can also do more in demanding this proper respect in an appropriate way. It starts with you personally respecting yourself, your body, your virtues, and your natural – and wonderful – womanly attributes. And then it continues by demanding that men not treat you like a sexual object, but as a woman to be loved and respected.

9) Stop Gossiping, Comparing, & Worrying : Easier said than done, right! However, this vitally important advice is one of the key ingredients to experiencing happiness as a woman. This is an ability and attribute that is certainly not developed overnight, and it takes effort; but, the moment you can stop gossiping with and about others, comparing yourself to other women, and worrying about things out of your control (or things not needing to be worried about) – it is then you will experience real peace, limited stress, self-worth, and true happiness.

Again, never forget that true beauty in a woman is not found in the reflection of a mirror, it comes only to those who seek to be honest, happy, and pure. Each of the principles described above essentially communicate this same message – that character is far more important than appearance. Should this suggest that women thus need not worry about their appearance? Absolutely not! Women must make an effort to exercise, eat healthy, be educated, be involved, be informed, and be beautiful also. But they should also remember that purity and modesty is far more attractive than excessive make up, immoral actions, and revealing clothing. They should realize that in most cases, surgical procedures to enhance or tuck (or whatever) not only communicate that plastic is more beautiful than purity, but that self-worth is determined by appearance and the opinions of others rather than an inner confidence of who God created us to be. They should also realize that being educated and informed is far more important than wasting time in gossip and celebrity magazines. And perhaps most importantly, women everywhere should never forget the absolute honor, necessity, and beauty of being a mother, wife, daughter, and woman who radiates self-confidence, happiness, and purity!

Hypnosis – Goes To The Olympics

Many athletes; including Tiger Woods, golfer Jack Nicklaus, golfer, Frank Bruno, WBC Heavyweight Champion, players for the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Rod Carew, Minnesota Twins, Andre Agassi, tennis star, Phil Jackson, Chicago Bulls coach and LA Lakers, Michael Jordon, Kobe Bryant and Shaqu O’Neal, Richard Lee, the goalie of Brentford football Pat Cash, tennis have used hypnosis and visualization techniques for their success. Jimmy Connors used hypnosis to practice his winning tennis strokes prior to the US Open.

The Irish athletes commissioned a hypnosis practitioner to work with team members to help in their preparation for the 2012 Olympic games. The key focus is placed on the little mental factors that can boost performance under pressure.

High jump hopeful Deirdre Ryan is one of the Irish athletes to receive mental tutoring. Ryan said that hypnosis has helped with her subconscious thinking and also her level of confidence, heading into the games.

The hypnosis practitioner facilitates an altered state of mind and then teaches them how to reprogram their subconscious in order to regain control and regulate their bodies through breathing and heart rate.

Kevin McBride, celebrated Irish heavyweight boxing champion, prior to every fight, uses a personal hypnosis practitioner to hypnotize him into the right frame of mind.

Steve Hooker won the 2008 Olympic Gold Medal in pole vaulting after his hypnotist helped him visualize his success.

The number one issue athletes deal with the most – how to handle the nerves; how to overcome the mental anguish, to be confident and to perform their best.

Hypnosis has gained a wider acceptance with Olympic athletes and to the wider public with the aim of helping people to transform everyday stress, fears, phobias and personal issues while stating that these issues will be transformed completely.

The good news is; whether you are a celebrity or athlete or not your issues can be resolved with hypnosis! For example:

• Jackie Kennedy Onassis used hypnotherapy to deal with the tragic events in her life.

• Mel Gibson underwent hypnosis to help him deal with his issues.

• Sir Winston Churchill used post-hypnotic suggestions to stay awake and carry out his duties as Prime Minister during WWII.

• Albert Einstein used hypnosis sessions every afternoon. His theory of relativity came to him in one of those sessions. He often used trance states to develop his ideas.

• Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud developed psychotherapy as a result of learning about and practicing hypnosis.

• Orlando Bloom’s mother called in a hypnotist to eliminate Orlando’s addiction to chocolate when he was a child.

• Thomas Edison used self-hypnosis on a regular basis

• Aldous Huxley used trance states to explore the nature of Consciousness.

• Sylvester Stallone worked with a hypnosis practitioner while filming Rocky in 1975. Stallone, also used used self hypnosis to help him write the script for “Rocky”. He then used hypnosis daily to overcome over 900 rejections for his script. During each day of filming “Rocky” he used hypnosis tapes. “Rocky” became an overnight success.

• Kevin Costner, actor, became seasick while making “Waterworld.” A hypnosis practitioner helped him to overcome seasickness.

• Billy Joel, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Drew Barrymore, Katy Perry, Debra Messing, Kate Moss, Ellen DeGeneres, Charlize Theron, Simon Cowell, Kevin Stone, Samuel Jackson, Winona Ryder, Ashton Kutscher, Brittany Spears, Charlotte Church, a Welsh singer and many other celebrities have stopped smoking with hypnosis.

• Celebrities Lily Allen, Sophie Dahl, Geri Halliwell and Chuck Clausen used hypnosis to lose weight.

• Sarah Ferguson (Fergie) Dutchess of York used hypnosis to stop biting her fingernails and for weight loss.

• Aaron Eckhart credits hypnosis for changing his life forever after being able to give up smoking and alcohol.

• Tony Curtis used hypnosis to overcome his fear of flying and to improve his career.

• James Earl Jones famous actor and voice of Darth Vader (Star Wars) used hypnosis to overcome stuttering

• Mufasa (Lion King) used hypnosis to overcome stuttering.

• Bruce Willis used hypnosis to overcome stuttering.

• Samuel L Jackson, Sean Penn, Sean Connery, Martha Stewart, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin used hypnosis to improve their lives.

• Mozart composed the famous opera “Cosi Fan Tutte” while hypnotized.

• Lord Tennyson Alfred wrote entire poems in a hypnotic state.

• Seigei Rachmaninoff composed his “Second Piano Concerto” following a post-hypnotic suggestion given by Nikolai Dahl, a pioneer in hypnosis. Today, after over 100 years, this concerto remains one of the most exquisite and deeply moving pieces of music ever written.

• Princess Diana used hypnosis for public speaking and confidence.

What is stopping you from creating your success, your dreams and meeting your goals? Hypnosis can eliminate negative energy, fears, blocks, anxiety, phobias and improve self-confidence, self-esteem and ability.
